In 2018 we started the ARTHA 10% initiative fund. Having spent the last years working closely with our partners we realized that there are several areas in which the communities could benefit from extra financial support.
Now, 10% of sales proceeds are set aside to be allocated to artisan projects in the form of grants, led by the groups themselves and supported by us.
In September of each year we will be giving our artisan partners the opportunity to submit project requests for evaluation. As we are in regular contact throughout the year their needs will most likely have been identified and at this time the process will be formalized. Working in collaboration with the chosen projects we will collectively bring them to fruition .
To help the communities develop as a team and teach business skills
To contribute to identified health initiatives or community skills development programs
To upgrade their craftsman's tools or their working environment
To help improve their design skills and techniques as well as production processes
