Having worked closely with our partners over the past few years, it has become clear to us that there are several areas where they and their communities could benefit from additional support.
As part of our commitment to the communities we work with, beyond fair wages, we will provide a percentage of sales each year to projects in the form of grants. These may involve the artisan community directly or be directed to a project that aligns with our philosophy.
Each year we will be giving our artisan partners the opportunity to submit project requests for evaluation. As we are in regular contact throughout the year their needs will most likely have been identified and at this time the process will be formalized. Working in collaboration with the chosen projects we will collectively bring them to fruition.
At the same time, we will also be evaluating opportunities to use these funds to support other projects within the countries where we work or closer to home, here in Switzerland.
To help the communities develop as a team and teach business skills
To contribute to identified health initiatives or community skills development programs
To upgrade their craftsman's tools or their working environment
To help improve their design skills and techniques as well as production processes
