A variety of traditional embroidery stitches come together in this throw pillow, creating a design that reflects the broad range of stitches mastered by these artisans. Creating this piece together with the artisans line by line, they helped us come up with this timeless design.
The bright green color adds a fresh touch to this otherwise tone on tone piece. We also produced a version in a darker shade of green to decorate a more neutral home.
It takes a several days to complete each piece. While the design and technique are the same, each artisan has her own way of applying each stitch, making each piece unique in its own special way.
The Lambadi artisans are part of a group of around 50 women. Each woman works out of the comfort of her own home, allowing her to maintain a work-life balance.
